Christian Kroner 1838-1911 Christian Kroner was initially employed as a decorative painter, it was not until 1861 that he decided to dedicate his life to being an artist. The results were dramatic; he produced highly atmospheric scenes of the forests and wildlife in the areas surrounding Munich and Dusseldorf. He was renowned for his scenes featuring deer. Kroner was awarded a gold medal at the Berlin Expo of 1896, he also exhibited regularly at the Berlin Academy.
