Robert Frank Krause (1893-1950). Very little is known of this German artist. A relatively small amount of his works survives today, which suggests perhaps that he was a gentleman of leisure who painted as an avocation. It is clear from his surviving artworks that he was a highly-talented technical painter, skilled in creating vibrant compositions.
